Small scattered showers are moving west across the Bay area, according to the Bay News 9 weather team.
"Heavy storms will develop by evening in the coastal counties as the east and west coasts sea breezes collide there,"meteorologist Diane Kacmarik said.
There will be very heavy rain with slow-moving storms, gusty winds and lightning for the evening.
It will get better in the coming days. Most of the showers will stay further inland tomorrow, and by midweek, the rain chance will drop to about 10 percent, Kacmarik said.
