It was a hot and humid end to the weekend with highs around 90 degrees.

Melbourne actually reached 93 degrees, which broke the old record of 92 degrees set back in 2006.

Rain was not widespread, but we did have a few showers and storms develop as the west coast sea breeze raced east. Rain chances will remain high over the next few days, but drier and slightly cooler air is coming.

Mostly cloudy skies are in the forecast through the overnight hours. Winds will diminish slightly, but still be breezy out of the west-southwest. A few isolated showers will still be possible as we head toward daybreak with lows dropping only into the middle to low 70s.

Scattered showers and storms will fire up again for our Monday as a front drops south and stalls over Central Florida. Expect partly to mostly cloudy skies throughout the day with the chance for some passing rain.

Temperatures will drop back slightly, with highs in the middle to low 80s and even only in the upper 70s for coastal Flagler and Volusia counties.  It will still be rather humid, however, making it feel even warmer.

Our unsettled weather pattern continues through mid-week with a good chance for rain and even a few strong storms each day.

After a front moves through early on Thursday, we’ll be dry for the rest of the week and into the weekend. Temperatures will even take a hit, with highs only around 80 degrees and lows in the middle to low 60s.
