Authorities are investigating the shooting death of a man at a house party early Saturday in east Orange County.

Deputies responded around 2 a.m. to a home on the 12000 block of Sophiamarie Loop in the Vizcaya at Waterford subdivision.

When deputies arrived, they found several people fleeing a party and a 25-year-old man unresponsive.

Deputies started CPR on the victim, and emergency personnel arrived and transported him to Florida Hospital East, where he later died.

Witnesses told investigators the victim got into an altercation with another man and that man pulled out a gun and shot the victim several times, according to deputies.

Neighbors in the normally quiet area said they called to report the party before the shooting happened, but deputies didn't respond until it was too late.

"I was in shock because this is, like, a family oriented neighborhood, and the music was loud, very loud and there were just too many people here," said Mariam Feliciano, who lives in the area.

Other neighbors in the area said they, too, called 911.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office said they won't be able to confirm how many 911 calls came in regarding the party until Monday.

No arrests have been made, and deputies continue to search for the person who fired the shots.
