The Florida Strawberry Festival Parade hit the streets of Plant City on Monday, March 1.

It started in the historic downtown and worked its way down Reynolds Street to the festival grounds for about a two-mile journey.

Bay News 9 journalists manned the company's float, along with representatives from Bright House Sports Networks and Infomas.

More than 100 floats, bands, community organizations and entertainers took part in the annual event.

It was the first year for the Dazzling Dynasty Show Stoppers, a majorette and hip hop studio in Plant City.

Twelve-year-old Kimora Gilmore marched in the parade.

"I like doing this because I get to have my friends," said Gilmore. "And I like to dance."

The Florida Strawberry Festival turns 80 this year, and the parade is more than 70 years old.
