Tampa police are looking for a person of interest in connection with the murder of a Texas man who was shot to death while sitting in his car last Friday.

According to reports, Reggie R. Adams, 20, was in the parking lot of a McDonald's at 19080 Bruce B. Downs Blvd. at 3:30 p.m. when he became involved in an argument with the suspect.

The suspect chased Adams for about two and a half miles on Bruce B. Downs Boulevard to the intersection with I-75, where Adams was shot inside his black 2005 Dodge Magnum.

Adams' friends drove him to Pasco Regional Hospital in Dade City and dropped him off shortly after 5 p.m.  Adams died a short while later.

Detectives determined on Monday that Adams had actually been shot in Tampa.

Now they are searching for a person of interest who they believe has information about the crime. The person of interest was seen on video inside the McDonald's before the shooting took place.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS.
