A Tampa woman was killed and three people were injured a three-vehicle crash involving a dump truck on State Road 54 in Wesley Chapel on Friday, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

According to troopers, a Ford Focus and Honda Accord were eastbound on S.R. 54 near Wesley Chapel Loop around 3:30 p.m. As a westbound dump truck approached, the driver of the Focus, 24-year-old Raelisha Priestley of Zephyrhills, swerved left to avoid stopped traffic. Priestley headed into oncoming traffic and hit the dump truck.

The crash caused the truck to spin into oncoming traffic, where it collided with the Accord, which was driven by Aitza Bellaflores, 72, of Tampa. Bellaflores was killed.

A passenger with Bellaflores, Blake Perez, 11, of New Port Richey, was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital with minor injuries.

Presley and the truck driver, Michael Cooper, 38, of Spring Hill had minor injuries.
