News 13 Project Weather Activity Book
The Project Weather Activity Books are great for preschool and elementary age children.
We developed and updated this activity book to answer common weather-related questions and turn them into fun, educational puzzles for kids. They are given out at hurricane expos and weather related events or News 13 viewers can call News 13 at 407-513-1300 to receive yours free.
News 13 Project Weather Scholarship Contest
News 13 is proud to present the Project Weather Scholarship Contest. A $1,000 check will be awarded to nine high school seniors in public, private or parochial schools who excel in science.
One winner will be selected from each of the following counties: Orange, Osceola, Lake, Marion, Brevard, Volusia, Flagler, Seminole and Sumter.
A $1,000 check will be presented at the News 13 Studios by a News 13 meteorologist.
The scholarship is granted as a part of News 13's commitment to educating children about science and weather.
News 13 is the proud sponsor of the Sprouts & Seedlings Children's Garden at the Central Florida Zoo! This interactive exhibit allows children to get outside and explore nature and see what things they might find in their own backyard.
The Sprouts & Seedlings program is geared towards pre-school children, ages 2-5, and happens every Tuesday through Thursday from 9:30am-10:30am. This program features speakers from the zoo talking about a variety of topics on nature.
