Disney's Parks and Resorts division is shedding about 145 jobs, the company said.

  • Disney's Parks division cutting about 145 positions
  • Jobs being cut are not customer-facing, company said
  • Disney will work with impacted employees, it said

The positions will come from "several back-of-house operations." The company didn't specify what those were but said guests wouldn't see or experience the changes.

The job cuts are designed to realign resources with future priorities, the company said, including investments worldwide from Walt Disney World to California, Paris and Shanghai.

"While difficult, these restructuring job reductions represent a very small percentage of our global workforce," Disney said.

Disney said it will work with the impacted employees to provide assistance in finding other job opportunities.
