A woman died in a house fire in St. Pete Friday morning.
It happened at a two-story wood structure at 10th Avenue and 25th Street north.
St. Pete Fire responded to the fire around 7:30 a.m. They said the victim, a 61-year-old woman, was found in an upstairs bedroom.
Investigatos said the fire started in a second-story bedroom and the believe it was started by smoking material.
About $5,000 worth of damage was done to the home.
