A suspect wanted in connection to a shooting at a Spring Hill bar is in custody, according to the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office.

The shooting happened at the Delirium Lounge on Mariner Boulevard early Sunday.

Sheriff Al Nienhuis said a premilary investigation revealed that the suspect was interacting with a woman who “was not happy about it.”

Two patrons at the bar stepped in to defend her, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

During a confrontation, the suspect fired shots injuring the two people.

Both survived the shooting and are expected to be OK, deputies said.

The shooting remains under investigation.
