Officials are warning residents in the Brown Acres East area to boil their water after a water main break Wednesday night in Port Richey.

Maintenance crews had to shut off a water main to make the repairs. Due to the loss of pressure, crews have issued a precautionary boil water notice. It will remain in effect for a few days until the water is tested and cleared.

Officials advise that all water used for drinking or cooking be boiled for at least one minute. You may also use bottled water.
