Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a home invasion robbery Thursday night in Seminole.

Deputies said two armed men forced their way into the victim’s home, saying they were the police, and directed the victim to get on the ground.

When the victim, Bryce Mazeika, 22, realized the suspects were not law enforcement officers, he grabbed a handgun in his possession and shot at the suspects multiple times.

Deputies said one suspect fired back at Mazeika before both suspects fled the scene.

The incident occurred around 11:45 p.m. at a home on Park Boulevard in Seminole.

Deputies said no one was injured during the shooting.

The suspects are described as two black males, both in their mid-20s, 6 feet tall, approximately 180 lbs.

One suspect was wearing a baggy shirt with a colorful square design on the front.

The second had an unknown clothing description, but was armed with a gun.

Deputies said the attempted robbery was likely drug-related.
