  • Dentistry from the Heart event in Largo
  • Non-profit to aid people in need of dental work
  • Event runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Today, he is hosting the latest event for Dentistry from the Heart, a non-profit organization.

Their mission is simple—making people smile.

“Now more than ever, I know there’s people out there that need my services, but have no means to afford them – whether they’re out of a job, or just don’t have dental insurance. This Dentistry from the Heart event is my way of giving back to the community, and being there for the people who are in need of dental work,” said Dr. Feeney

The event is taking place at 2700 East Bay Drive in Largo from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Dr. Feeney and his volunteers will treat the first 50 patients, or however many they can service by 4 p.m.

Dentistry from the Heart was founded in 2001 by a dentist in New Port Richey and created to aid those in need.

Over 100 million Americans lack dental insurance and over 29 percent of adults have untreated cavities.
