Christmas in Tampa Bay. Some years we are warm. Some years we are cold. But instead of making a snowman, we have to get creative with the sand and shells at our beautiful beaches.

  • No White Christmas in the Bay area
  • Better look to the mountains, parts of New England and in Minnesota
  • BN9 Weather forecast

Let’s face it, if you prefer to have your Christmas Day look like a winter wonderland, Florida is not the place to be. So, where’s your best chance of having a white Christmas in the United States?

The climatological probability of at least 1 inch of snow on the ground on December 25 is highest in the mountains, parts of New England and in Minnesota.

Aspen, Colorado has a 100 person historical probability of seeing a white Christmas!

Keep in mind that the map below is based on three-decade averages.

It’s important to note that the actual weather on Christmas Day this year will be determined by the weather pattern at that time. Be sure to watch our Weather on the Nines for our forecasts for Christmas Day.
