Man, 2 dogs killed in Daytona Beach house fire

A man and two pets were killed in house fire in Daytona Beach on Saturday, the Daytona Beach Fire Department said.

The fire happened at a two-story home in the 500-block of Ocean Dunes Road.

When firefighters arrived, they found the home engulfed in flames.

A woman in the home was able to escape, but was unable to help her injured husband out of the home.

Firefighters were able to pull the man from the house. He was taken to a hospital, where he died.

Two Dalmatians also died in the fire, authorities said.

Firefighters were able to put the fire out after about two hours, the fire department said.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
